William Bishop

William Bishop has led East Coast originations for ORIX Venture Finance since May 2003.

Previously, he was the top producer at both GATX Ventures and Transamerica Technology Finance, with combined investments exceeding $225 million. Bill has produced consistent transaction volume with high quality venture-backed technology companies located primarily in the eastern United States. His transactions have spanned multiple debt instruments, including senior loans, working capital, subordinated growth capital, and bridge financing in combination with all levels of companies (Series A, B, C or beyond).

Prior to entering the venture capital arena, Bill was a successful commercial financial director working at AT&T Capital and SNET Capital.

He earned a BA from Babson College, and is completing an MBA at the University of Connecticut.
