Henry O'Connor

Henry O’Connor is a Managing Director for ORIX Venture Finance and heads its Washington DC Office. He has 14 years of transactional experience, and has raised over $18 billion in debt and equity capital for large and small public and private companies. 

Prior to joining ORIX, Mr. O’Connor worked at BIA Capital Strategies, an investment banking boutique, where he focused on private debt and equity capital financings for companies serving the media and telecommunications industries. 

Before BIA Capital, he worked in the media investment banking group of CIBC World Markets, and has also worked in media and telecommunications investment banking for Banc of America Securities and Salomon Smith Barney. 

Prior to his investment banking career, Mr. O’Connor was an attorney, most recently with Latham and Watkins, where he specialized in the structuring and financing of leveraged buyouts, and media and telecom mergers and acquisitions. During his banking career, Mr. O’Connor has raised public and private capital for companies ranging in size from publicly traded diversified entertainment companies to private, family-owned businesses.

Mr. O’Connor received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his BA degree, with distinction, from Cornell University.
